When I was a baby

Wyatt and I were lying in his bed, in those last few moments before he falls asleep.

Then he said "Mommy..."

Me: "What?"

Wyatt: "What did I do when I was a baby?"
Me: "Well, when you were a tiny baby, you didn't do much except cry and sleep a lot. You used to sleep on me and Daddy. And I used to tickle you and make you smile."

Wyatt: "Did that make me stop crying?"

Me: "Yes. I used to tickle you. And rub your ear. And sing to you."

Wyatt: "What else made me stop cwying?"

Me: "You used to like Smiley the star a lot."

Wyatt: "Where is he?"
Me: "Up with your stuffed animals. You want me to get him?"

Wyatt: "Yeh..."

So I pulled Smiley down and told Wyatt how I used to attach Smiley to his car seat and to his swing and Wyatt used to just watch and smile.

And we turned Smiley on, and Wyatt just watched and smiled. :)

I had tears falling down my cheeks, remembering my baby as a baby, and how much he's grown, and knowing he's going to keep growing and one day he won't want me lying in his bed with him before he falls to sleep at all. That simultaneously breaks my heart and makes me want to hold onto every moment.... I love him more than anything.

Copy it!

We go to the library every week to pick DVDs for the car and books. There's one old movie Wyatt really likes and we've had for the limit of 5 weeks. I told him "We'll get Daddy to copy it, ok?" So last night, we were reading one of the books, and he really liked it. He asked if we can have Daddy copy it. I REALLY don't think the boy understands piracy yet. LOL

Coloring with Wyatt. He points to his "drawing". "This is a rhinocerous. He has a wot of wegs!" (lot of legs)

Potty! :)

Wyatt was asleep in our bed, and I was just finishing my shower. I turned it off, and Wyatt came walking past. I listened as he walked over to the toilet, lifted the lid, pulled down his jammies, peed, and flushed. I was SOOO proud of him. I guess he doesn't need to come tell me when he needs to pee anymore. :(

Was also really proud that he lifted the lid. We'll work on putting it back down later.

I love him so much. He's my little Pumpkin Butt and just makes me so happy.

The other day, we were leaving Denny's, and Doug and I had driven our own cars. Wyatt had to ride home with me because Doug had a bunch of server stuff in his truck. Wyatt was mad. He said "But I yuv Daddy MORE". I made the "Uh!" flabbergasted sound. He looked at me sweetly and said "I yuv BOTH OF YOU more." LOL.

We've been playing Plants Vs Zombies on the iPad. There's an "easter egg" where if you scroll down, down, down, down on a certain screen, you eventually get to "China", and there are upside down zombies wearing Chinese clothing.

So Wyatt said something about Yellowstone, and I asked him if he wanted to go to Yellowstone again this year for vacation. He thought about it for a minute then exclaimed "I wanna go to CHINA!" I laughed. Then he added "I want to see Pwants and Bazombies"

:D

What else are we doing? We've been playing "Hit the balloon" where we hit and kick half-full Mylar balloons back and forth to each other. And swimming a lot. We need to work on Wyatt swimming without the floatie suit.

Today, we are gonna make a cake. Wyatt said last night "I want some cake!" when we were reading a book where the dog smelled cake. :)

Hershey Bar Syrup

Wyatt: "I want some chocolate milk!"
Me: (Goes to fridge and picks up chocolate milk carton)
Wyatt: "NO! I want it made with Hershey Bar syrup!" LOL
Wyatt likes to ride on my back while I crawl up the stairs. I said "That was a lot of work! You should let me ride on YOUR back." and he said "NO! You will break me!" LOL

Where my poop?

I was carrying a cold water bottle under my arm, and I said "My arm is freezing to death!!!" Wyatt responded with "My arm is hotting to death!" --LOL!
Wyatt: "I want to find a big cwicket." Me: "A big cricket? What would you do with it?" Wyatt: "Wide it!" Me: "How would you ride a cricket???" Wyatt: Cwimb up on him with a wadder, then just push it out of the way."
Wyatt asked me: "Mommy... where do UPS trucks live?"
There was a toilet in the restroom with a rusty handle. He flushed and then smelled his hands. "Ewwwww! My hands smell yike pennies!!!" LOL
Wyatt and I were watching airplanes, when one disappeared behind a tree. Wyatt said "I wish I was riding on a bird, so I could see those airplanes better." LOL
So Wyatt and I went to Walgreens, and when pulling him out of the carseat, it became obvious, he'd done a #2 in his pants. Giant lump. Bad smell. After a lecture and a sigh and a few internal curses, we went into Walgreens to go to the restroom. We had to find an employee to let us in, so had to do a tour of the store. Finally, we went into the restroom, and.... the poop was gone. Just - gone. I examined Wyatt's loose-legged underpants, and Wyatt's loose fitting jean shorts, and went white. The poop was on the floor somewhere in Walgreens!! So I grabbed a... wad of paper towels, and we went back out to retrace our steps. I started out appalled, but then started giggling. So Wyatt started giggling. "Where my poop?" he asked (a little too loudly). Finally, we ended up back at the restroom, with no sign of the missing poop. I threw the wad of paper towels into the trashcan, and Wyatt said "Well... that's that." "Yes it is", I said, laughing. "Yes, it is."
