Wyattism update

Wyatt and I were reading The Zombie Zone, one of the A-Z Mysteries books. In the book, when the kids get to New Orleans, they see a woman walking by with a parrot on her shoulder. Later, they travel to a village where someone is digging up graves and stealing bodies. Suddenly, Wyatt yells:

"MOM! I know who did it!"
Me: "Who?"
Wyatt: "Wait... can parrots dig?"
Me: "No."
Wyatt: "Never mind then."

LOL LOL

-----------

Wyatt: "Hey Mom! Do you know that Justin Beiber is real?"

----------

Wyatt: "Great!!!! Cara kissed me on the mouth, so now I have a dog for a wife!!!"

---------

Another Wyattism... I told Wyatt how Orion is my favorite constellation, and we Googled and read about Orion the Hunter.

As we were walking, he pointed at Orion in the sky and said "Hey Mom! There's our guy!"

---------

At the egg hunt, after everyone has been running around for about 5 minutes: "Wyatt, why don't you go look over there?"
Wyatt: "I can't. They said don't look in the grass because it is for the babies."
Me: "Hahah, oh sweetie, the babies got those eggs. You can go look now."

I also found him later with a broom and dustpan trying to awkwardly clean sandbox sand that had gotten onto the concrete. My sweet boy.

I want a bite.. and other Cara pics - and some Wyattisms

Wyatt, loudly, regarding the game he is playing on the iPad:

"Hey, I think there are some shenanigans going on!"

Yep. He is definitely my child. LOL

------

This morning, Wyatt woke up via his alarm, got himself dressed, brushed his teeth, the whole thing.

He's been taking showers on his own for a few weeks now.

Sigh. My baby is growing up.

-----
Wyatt is helping me shovel out gravel so I can plant flowers. I told him he was going to be sore later, and he yelled enthusiastically. .. "Today is arms day!" Lol

Cara and Wyattisms

We were playing Headbandz, the game where you put a card on your head and have to ask yes/no questions to figure out what you are. Wyatt's card was a swingset, and he couldn't figure it out.

So I said "Ask what you are made of, like 'Am I made of wood?' 'Am I made of metal?' 'Am I made of plastic?'"

He thought for a few seconds then asked "Am I made of balloons?"

LOL

-----

Wyatt: "I can't sleep. I think I am going to stay awake until 4 o'clock in the morning."
Me: "Just relax your mind and close your eyes."
Wyatt: "I can't! I can't quit thinking!"
Me: "About what?"
Wyatt: "Lots of things!"
Me: "Like what? Name one."
Wyatt: "Like how I am going to stay awake until 4 in the morning."

-----

Me: "Aidan, whose party are you going to today?"
Aidan: "Gabe's."
Wyatt: "How old is he... eight?"
Aidan: "Yes, he's turning eight."
Wyatt: "I knew it! Because that name just sounds like eight to me. When I hear that name, I think of eight. If I heard someone named that name, I would think he is eight."

----

Me: "So what do you think? Do you enjoy Christmas caroling?"
Wyatt: "YES! I want to do this for my birthday!"

So get ready people. June 9. Get yo' jingle bells on.
